Job description | 【Research】In GIAR’s Gene Therapy Science Division, the following research will be carried out to advance the understanding and utilization of gene expression to control diseases such as tumors. - Our laboratory is currently focused on discovering novel molecular targets using clinical cancer specimens and developing new therapeutic tools utilizing tumor-bearing animal models. We are synthesizing antibody drugs and target compounds against newly identified molecules discovered in our previous research, analyzing their therapeutic effects and mechanisms of action through cell-based and animal experiments. - We seek a candidate who will proactively handle not only general molecular oncology experiments but also tasks related to next-generation sequencing and bioinformatics analysis as an assistant professor in our laboratory. The successful candidate will lead the exploration of new target molecules and contribute to the advancement of the laboratory. - In addition to participating in ongoing projects, we encourage the candidate to pursue research and activities aimed at securing funding for a project that could become their lifelong focus, potentially leading to an independent career in the future. 【Education】Education and research guidance for graduate students and others. Qualifications | The candidate must meet all of the following requirements: - The candidate must hold or are expected to hold a doctoral degree at the time of appointment (April 1, 2025). - The candidate must have expertise in tumor biology, tumor diagnostics and therapeutics or related fields. Additionally, who are willing to promote cutting-edge and original research in these fields, as well as to engage in educational activities with high motivation. - The candidate must have obtained a master’s degree (or bachelor’s degree for graduates of 6-year undergraduate programs) within the past twelve years. |
| 11. Salary | The annual salary system will be adopted, and the retirement allowance will be paid. Basic salary will be determined based on academic and work experience in accordance with the Employment Regulations for Faculty and Staff Members at Gunma University and the Salary Regulations for Faculty Members under the Annual Salary System (Item 2) under the Employment Regulations. In addition, allowances for commuting, housing, dependent, and others will be provided, and there is a salary increase system. - Example of annual basic salary for an assistant professor with 3 years of work experience after completing a doctoral degree; Approximately JPY 5,460,000 |
