On 8th March, 2024, GIAR took place the Symposium of Gunma University Initiative for Advanced Research (GIAR) under the theme of “群馬大学における学内外連携の新たなステージ：未来先端研究機構による腫瘍学と遺伝子治療学の推進“. It was organized by Dr. NIMURA Keisuke, professor of GIAR and Dr. YOKOBORI Takehiko, Associate professor of GIAR.

After the welcome address by GIAR Director HANAYA Minoru, the speakers delivered their talks at Gunma University Millennium Hall. Each talk made a number of fruitful discussions between the speakers and the audience.
It was a meaningful symposium for researchers to learn about advanced research trends and promote collaborative research for near future.
GIAR plans to continue to interact with various researchers and further accelerate international research activities.
