This year, GIAR will host a half-day symposium focusing on mass-spectrometry-based omics research. In Session 1, we will have lectures on basic and clinical applications in the metabolomics and proteomics fields. In Session 2, we will have lectures on the exposome, a developing research field with the aim of understanding the relationship between the full complement of all environmental exposures and health. In a special lecture, Dr. Markus Wenk will speak about the application of lipidomics to understand the natural variation in blood lipids at the population level.
